In this newly created position, Mr. Sater will report to CEO Fraser Cameron and will also join the Office of the CEO. “Mark is joining Velcro Companies during an exciting time in its 50-year history,” says CEO Fraser Cameron. “His experience in the healthcare and apparel industries will further strengthen our position with clients in these important segments. Mark will also spearhead growth initiatives at the company, drawing on his exceptional skills as a leader of innovative, high-growth businesses.” Sater will work closely with the company’s regional business heads and senior leadership team to provide fastening solutions in simple, elegant and surprising ways for businesses and consumers around the world. Sater brings to Velcro Companies an impressive track record of building successful businesses as an entrepreneur, investor and board director. Prior to joining Velcro Companies, Mark was CEO of AccuMED Technologies, a specialist textile manufacturer for clients in the medical sector. Sater is also a board member of Falk & Ross, the German-based promotional clothing specialist. He has also served on the boards of Knomo, the London-based maker of unique bags and cases for modern technology products, Rohan, an outdoor clothing brand and Amoena, the global market leader in prosthetics and bras for mastectomy patients.
